Neuromas
Neuromas, commonly known as Morton’s neuromas, are benign growths or thickening of nerve tissue typically found between the third and fourth toes, often causing sharp, burning pain or the sensation of a pebble under the foot.
At BCP, we prioritize comprehensive care for neuromas, offering various treatment options tailored to your needs.

Treatment Options
- Custom Orthotics: We provide custom orthotics with modifications to redistribute pressure and alleviate neuroma-related discomfort. Additionally, we can also provide off-the-shelf orthotics with custom modifications for a more cost-effective option.
- Padding, Taping, and Dry Needling: Our treatments include padding, taping, and acupuncture techniques to provide cushioning, support, and pain relief.
- Footwear Modification: We offer guidance on footwear selection, including shoes with a wider toe box or lower heel, to minimize compression on the neuroma.
- Biomechanics and Mobilization Therapy: Our podiatrists specialize in biomechanics and mobilization therapy to improve foot mechanics and reduce pressure on the affected nerve area.
- Surgical treatments: Our focus is on non-invasive interventions to alleviate symptoms of neuromas. In most cases our patients find this to provide effective and ongoing relief. We don’t perform surgical treatments for neuromas, but can discuss alternative options for the most severe and persistent cases.
Our compassionate team works closely with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your specific symptoms and lifestyle. If you’re experiencing foot pain or suspect you may have a neuroma, contact us at BCP for expert evaluation and care.
